Dotting the "i"s and crossing the "t"s ... its coming along a little slower than I want but it happens at its own pace...the right pace and the right time...

The images, as you can see, are fierce. The words...thought-provoking. Get ready because its coming, really soon.

a pictorial moment from God...

If you recall, I did a post a while back about Rainy Days where I talked a little about the idea I had for a picture set for the portal that I didn't get to take because it was a cloudy, rainy day.

But there was this moment...like...from God, where the sun poked through the clouds. It wasn't for long; 20 maybe 30 minutes. But it was a blessing. It was moment. And we captured it. There will be a full set on the portal.

Thank you.

Behind the scenes with PrettyBlak & Maurice...

A while back, I created an entry where I mentioned that I was impressed by the works of the artist Maurice Evans and his muse PrettyBlak. So impressed that I asked them if they would be interested in participating in the Garden. They said yes and proceeded to create a fabulous collection of images that are works of art in themselves. They will be a part of the launch of the portal slated for later this month. In the meantime check out these images of from behind the scene.

PrettyBlak is a model and you find her here. Check out the works of Maurice here and here.

the one that got away...

Nightly...

I worked with her on a shoot for another web portal and, along with the shots for that portal, we did a few more. I'd hope she would join us in on our portal because she has the ability to create some really intense imagery and I had more that a few ideas to work with her own. Maybe someday...

'til then... a couple of images from our sets.

PG News....LeiCole, the Garden's Poet Laureate

My favorite poet...

I have known her LeiCole for twenty years and I have got to tell time must fly when you are having fun because it definitely does not seem as if it has been that long. Creative, intensely thoughtful, measured and quite beautiful, she is, in many aspects, a living dream. (I know she's laughing as she reads that but it is true.)

She is a writer. And back in the day I was moved by some of her verse to create works of art. Now she flips it and has created verse for images in the Garden. She has also taken an interest in in interviewing some of the models in the Garden and will do so from time to time.

rainy days...

It rained at Mas Camp.

I've talked about this place several times before but It may be shutting its doors soon and there were so many spots I wanted to shoot in that I never got a chance too.

I was fortunate enough to have a model who would come with me and it had been so hot and sunny for so many days that I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to create a new set for the portal.

I wanted to do the shoot in the kitchen of this joint. The windows had been painted blue and when the sun hit them it creates a very artsy, very dramatic feel on the images. But you need a lot of sun for a good shot.

And it rained. The day we could do it (not the days before and the days after) it rained. And when it wasn't raining, it was cloudy and overcast. So we made the best of it. We got a some of images I wanted but not enough for a full set and I've posted a couple here. And the sun came out long enough when we were shooting outside so that we were able to create enough images for a set, more on those later.

But do you get the feel we were going for when we started this shoot? I really like we got. Sometimes folks compliment my work; but I am always reminded that a good capture ALWAYS requires the hand of God.

Tai...a new muse for the Garden...

Meeting her by chance was truly a treasure. Tai will be one of the models for the new web portal we are building which will launch in midJuly. We are still working on concepts for her images. Any ideas?

project news...captures for the web portal...

At the project we've explored several concepts with models interested in being a part of the web portal and things appear to be shaping up. Here are a few images from the shoots we've done so far. We are really enjoying what we are coming up with. I hope you like it too.

project news...Nobella is the Garden's Style Director

While working on a shoot with a model, I asked Nobella if she could help me out with some jewelry to compliment the look. She said yes...then she pointed out that we picked the wrong skirt for the look. Then she went with us on the shoot.

The rest is history.

We spent a great deal of time going concepts for future shoots and we both became inspired. I found her vision refreshing. And I, honestly, found her appreciation of mine, comforting. I look forward to creating more images with her.

In the meantime...does anyone else have ideas for images? What would you like to see in the Garden?
