a preview to an intimate communique

An experimental black & white image set of an impromptu moment.

Hershey stood next to the windowed door so that I could watch how the light fell on her when she got a phone call. And then she got a text. Followed by a phone call another text and so on. They were all with the same person and this continued for a while.

I wasn't really listening but from the expressions on her face there was some obvious drama going on. Curious about how the emotion in these captures would look like, I continued shooting.

Hershey, aware and curious herself, consciously positioned herself provocatively. Unabashedly, she continued her talk, never afraid to show her true feelings, losing herself to the moment.

Unplanned and genuine, the experience was very passion, very fragile and very intimate.

These images are just a few of the full set at PangeasGarden.com
Check it out.

Vincent's visions of a Lakeside Stroll...

Recently I posted Hafees Byard's images of an early morning stroll with ButtahFly and Hershey along a lakeside in Georgia. I was there shooting too and I thought I take a moment and share some of my captures as well.

The morning was a glorious miracle that reminded me what tend to take for granted, assuming it will be there tomorrow. I hope these images reflect how much I revel in the Grace bestowed upon us.

And I look forward to doing it again.

As an EarthSista, Hershey has made her presence felt in the Garden and ButtahFly is well on her way of doing the same. I hope you like the captures I created here.

a soulful Q&A with Kirei Na

Kirei Na means beautiful in Japanese. And like the EarthSista that bears the name, it is poignant and graceful. And, to meet her, you would think she is quiet but she is not. Kirei Na is quite open once she lets you in and very warm. I discovered this long before we did the shoot for 20 Questions. But what I didn't realize is how moved I would be by her answers...

In her responses she is intelligent, frank, provocative and nurturing. You can read all of it at PangeasGarden.com in 20 Questions with Kirei Na. And check out her intimate pictorial set with Hershey in "The Dance".

Hafees' Lakeside Stroll...

I am part of group of Photographers and Models who get together, every now and then, for some casual shooting. And last week we went on a lakeside stroll. I got a few great shots and I will probably post them later but right now I want to focus on the captures of Hafees Byard.

Born in South Philly, now residing in Atlanta, Hafees discovered his true passion for photography a few years ago. He says he loves to capture images of life and turn them into art.

You can see a wider variety of his works here and here. Enjoy!

a preview interview with Hershey...

Hershey is a young, vibrant and natural EarthSista on the move with a serious passion for dance and theater.

Her affinity for perfomance grew out of her love for fashion and glamour and she stills dreams of owning a her own fashion boutique as well as a performance studio. Look out for her daring and provocative image set featuring her on the Project online community site PangeasGarden.com. In the meantime we asked her to answer a few questions about herself.

1. How would you describe your personality/outlook on life?
I'm pretty bubbly and talkative most of the time, while also having a no nonsense business side. I love to laugh, make jokes, and have fun. I see life as an endless portal of opportunites and lessons learned.

6. Single or Committed? EarthSista or EarthMother?
I'm a single EarthSista!

12. Complete this sentence. "As a woman, I believe it's especially important to..."
Unconditionally love and respect yourself each and every day of your life so that everyone else around you is forced to do the same.

There interview continues, along with a short preview of her on PangeasGarden.com
