I asked her what did she want her Garden name to be and she immediately said Nala (from the Lion King) and I saw it. Nala was the beautiful young lioness who playfully and frequently teased Simba, the once and future Lion King. As children they were playmates and best friends and when they were older, Nala inspires Simba to make the right decisions that lead to him becoming her King and she becoming his Queen. Nala fits this statuesque top model in the making because she is indeed an inspiration. With her, decidedly, Afrocentric spin on the traditional model aesthetic, the young Nala brings striking...
