Muhsinah is a DC-bred singer-songwriter whose name is on the lips of may industry taste-makers, but whose sound is hard to categorize. And therefore hard for the mainstream to digest. She’s worked with new-soul darlings Foreign Exchange, most notably on “Daykeeper,” which was nominated for a Grammy. Alas, she remains unsigned. For Real Tho! paid a visit to the Naptural Roots Launch Party… It was an exciting event, celebrating the move of Naptural Roots Magazine from its original Seattle location to its new home in Atlanta. Taking place at Othello’s Event Hall in Atlanta’s West End, the spectacle takes place the night before the World Natural Hair Show. Vendors were on hand with fabulous products. Pezo Johnson from Poems Over Pistols drops by for a chat; as does Kumi Rauf from I Love Being Black. And, of course, Leanne Dolce the founder and publisher of Naptural Roots Magazine also stops by and shares...

GreenRose and FlowerChild were sassy, elusive and playful, which is typical for them. On this second nature stroll together the earthSistas went for a walk at Pangea’s ’secret garden.’ And whereas their first stroll had a fragile, poignant and ethereal feel to it, this one was more upbeat and bright, rich and colorful. The images of these earthSistas were exuberant and inspired. Open and adventurous, GreenRose and FlowerChild gossiped about the day’s events...
